What I Believe
Words shape the way we connect: with ourselves, with one another, and with the world around us. They help a therapist welcome a new client. They invite a child into their first unforgettable novel. They encourage someone to keep going when life feels heavy. They help a business communicate its purpose with confidence.
I've come to believe that the right words don't just inform. They comfort, inspire, and create connection. That's the heart of everything I create.
Long before I became a copywriter, I was the kid who always had a book in her hands.
In fifth grade, I fell headfirst into Brian Jacques' Redwall series, and from that moment on, I was hooked. Stories became places to explore, questions to ask, and worlds to return to again and again. By middle school, I filled notebooks with my own characters, stories, and poetry—discovering that writing wasn't simply something I enjoyed, but the way I made sense of the world.
That love of words eventually led me to study English, but not before I seriously considered psychology. I've always been fascinated by people—their stories, what shapes them, and how the right words can help us better understand ourselves and one another.
Today, The Lit Bulb Collective is where those passions meet.
Whether I'm helping a thoughtful brand find its voice, editing a manuscript, creating literacy experiences for families, or simply sharing a book that stayed with me long after I turned the last page, my work begins with the same belief:
Stories change us.
Life Beyond the Page
When I'm not writing, reading, or dreaming up my next creative project, you'll usually find me embracing the beautifully full life my family and I have built.
My husband and I love spending evenings in the city discovering indie and pop-punk bands, and our family is deeply involved in our local theatre community. Whether we're gathering props, helping build sets, lending a hand backstage, or celebrating opening night, there's something incredibly special about watching a story come to life on stage.
At home, life is wonderfully full with three children ranging in age from 4 to 18, so every season of childhood is unfolding at once. We spend our summers playing in a recreational volleyball league, I rarely pass up the chance for a good run, and you'll almost always find a stack of books waiting on my nightstand.
I've come to believe that the richest stories aren't always found between the covers of a book. They're woven into everyday moments—family traditions, creative pursuits, shared laughter, meaningful conversations, and the communities we build together.
Those are the stories I treasure most, and they're the ones that continue to shape both my life and my work.
